O’Dell Equipment Company is an equipment distributor serving Louisville, Nashville, Knoxville, and Lexington. They came to us wanting their company website redesigned and pointed to a few industry sites whose look they admired.
We started with a discovery document covering the company’s customers, locations, product lines, and goals for the site. From that, we designed a home page visual concept with a classic serif for body text and clean sans-serif headings, a pairing that feels established without looking dated. We also put together a stock image board so the team could react to photography before anything was built. The client wrote that the concept was going in exactly the direction they wanted.
Choosing images surfaced a real issue for equipment dealers: many stock photos show competitors’ branded machines. We flagged it and recommended using the company’s own equipment photos instead. The project paused while photos were gathered and later through a change in ownership, and the discovery work and design concept are ready whenever the company picks it back up.
Websites for equipment distributors and dealers
Equipment buyers want to know what you carry, where your locations are, and how to reach the right branch. A distributor website should make product lines and service areas easy to scan and use real photos of the equipment you sell. We plan these sites carefully so they reflect how the business actually works.
We work with distributors and dealers on projects including:
- Discovery documents and site planning
- Home page visual concepts
- Typography and image direction
- Stock and custom photography guidance
- Multi-location and branch pages
- Product line and brand pages
- Redesigns modeled on sites you admire
Every concept and plan we deliver is yours to keep. If your distribution company needs a website redesign, we would love to help.
Digital Marketing Case Study: O'Dell Equipment, Equipment Distributor Website Concept
We were excited to work with O'Dell Equipment on this project. They needed an updated website, content development strategy and general marketing consultation. Our team collaborated with them on their goals and enjoyed going above and beyond expectations on this project.
Case Study Goals:
In our initial discovery meeting with O'Dell Equipment we determined that the primary goals for this project included: applying custom design using inspiration from the client, making it easier for visitors to access information, updating the look and function of the website, and to complete this project within the limits of a set deadline and budget.
The company wanted its website redesigned, using a few industry sites it admired as a starting point, to better present its locations and product lines.
Case Study Process and Highlights:
We completed a discovery document, designed a home page visual concept pairing a classic serif with sans-serif headings, and built a stock image board for the team to review. The design system holds up across web, print, and social applications while keeping the visual identity intact. We like to consider ourselves a valuable partner to O'Dell Equipment, working together on this project to meet all of their objectives, aligning goals and finding unique solutions to their challenges.
Many equipment stock photos show competitors' branded machines, so we flagged that early and recommended using the company's own equipment photography instead.
Case Study Results:
We are happy to report this successful project resulted in not only a happy client but also verifiably meeting all the project goals, including these points of accomplishment: were pleased with our fast, responsive customer service, appreciated having a great aesthetic design that met their style and brand objectives and enjoyed our unique personal touch and custom sales process. These were precisely the results O'Dell Equipment was looking for, and we are committed to remaining a trusted digital partner in support of O'Dell Equipment's objectives.
The client wrote that the concept was going in exactly the direction they wanted. The discovery work and concept are ready for the build whenever the company resumes the project.
